Once Upon a Princess a very hairy beard did grow...and she likes it! What a shame the King, Queen and Potential Princes don't feel the same.

The beard won’t come off, not for all the gold in the royal treasury. While everyone is entangled in this knotty problem, no one is preparing for the biting cold winter that approaches. Luckily the beard knows just what is needed.

'Once Upon A Princess… A Very Hairy Beard Did Grow’ is an 800 word picture book text for 3-6 year olds. It is the first in a series of new fairytales written for a modern audience, the purpose of which, is to entertain, engage and challenge traditional stereotypes. This Princess does not need a Prince, she can sort her own problems out , and plenty more besides. In the school setting not only can these be used in the ‘traditional tale’ unit of Literacy but can also to promote discussion and role play in PSHE.
