Storytelling
George Kirk is a teller of tales... |
|
... a maker of make believe and a rhymer of rhymes! |
Libraries
I wasn't born, my Mum found me on a shelf in the new fiction section of the library and I've been trying to sneak back ever since. It's the place I am most at home, just don't expect me to be quiet. I spend my holidays in libraries helping with the reading challenges and promoting reading for pleasure. "George is a fantastic storyteller who captivates any child who listens. Her interactive storytellings are amazing and she encourages children to really use their imaginations. Everyone looks forward to a visit from George!"- Kathy Young, Library Manager

Festivals
Who doesn't love a good festival? They're the perfect place to make friends, share stories, wear hats and sing songs. I have worn many hats at many festivals including the Manchester Children's Book Festival, Wellington Literary Festival and The Horse and Bamboo Puppet Festival.
"George Kirk is an absolute asset for anyone who might be contemplating a storytelling event. She enthralled her audience (both children and adults), and engaged them fully. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fabulous, multi-talented storyteller. "- Catherine Cooper-children's author and festival committee member.

As a teacher with 18 years experience and rising I am at my best in schools. I can work across the key stages and as well as the usual storytelling sessions I can also offer creative writing workshops. I have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and my funeverse poetry workshops are especially suited for the poetry objectives in the new curriculum for both KS1 and KS 2.
